The Ferrari Dino 206 GT, produced from 1967 to 1969 with only 152 units, was designed by Aldo Brovarone and Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti. It featured a classic Italian design, distinct from its angular successor, the 308 GT4. The car was powered by a transverse-mounted 2.0-liter V6 engine, producing 180 PS, and marked Ferrari's first use of electronic ignition and direct rack-and-pinion steering. The 206 GT had a lightweight aluminum body, independent suspension, disc brakes, and a top speed of 146 mph. Its engine was also used in the Fiat Dino Coupe and Spider, produced during the same period.
