The 1958 Dino 296 S, a unique Ferrari model with serial number 0746, featured a nearly 3-litre, 65° V6 engine with twin overhead camshafts and dual spark plugs per cylinder, producing 300 PS (221 kW; 296 hp). Its chassis comprised a tubular steel frame with independent front suspension, de Dion rear axle, and drum brakes, complemented by Fantuzzi spider bodywork. The car made its debut at Silverstone Circuit in 1958, achieving third place. It was subsequently converted into a 250 Testa Rossa for the 1000km Nürburgring race, where it secured third overall, and continued to compete in the Bahamas and the United States.
