At the 1967 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Dino Berlinetta Competizione concept car, designed by Paolo Martin for Pininfarina and Ferrari, was unveiled. This unique design study, which also functioned as a working prototype, was never intended for production. Based on the Dino 206 S racing chassis (s/n 034), it featured a Type 231/B engine with advanced 3-valve heads. The design, influenced by Dino competition cars, was completed in just four months. Notable features included its rounded shape, which was later enhanced with front and rear spoilers, and distinctive gullwing doors with curved glass that slid into the door structure.
