The Ferrari 150º Italia, initially known as the Ferrari F150, competed in the 2011 Formula One season. Designed by Aldo Costa, Pat Fry, Nikolas Tombazis, and Marco de Luca, with Luca Marmorini overseeing engine and electronics, it was launched at Ferrari's Maranello headquarters. Driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, it was the first Ferrari F1 car since 1956 to use Pirelli tyres. The car's name celebrated Italy's 150th unification anniversary. The season started with a lack of pace but improved with Alonso's victory at the British Grand Prix, aided by a ban on off-throttle blown diffusers. Alonso achieved several podium finishes, helping Ferrari secure third in the Constructors' Championship with 375 points.
