The Ferrari 212 Inter Ghia, chassis no. 0233 EU, one of 73 built, was completed in late summer 1952 and featured unique coachwork by Ghia, showcasing design elements common in their collaboration with Virgil Exner. Debuted at the 1952 Paris Motor Show, it caught the attention of Juan Domingo Perón, then President of Argentina and an avid car collector. To minimize publicity and tax implications, the Ferrari was re-registered as a used car under Milan registration MI 197153, previously associated with another Ghia-bodied Ferrari. Perón's eventual ousting in 1955 left the car in Argentina, where it was later sold to Conrado Tennina in 1973. The car underwent a comprehensive restoration in 1987, reverting to its original 1952 yellow-over-black livery. Acquired by a respected collector in 1999, it was displayed at the 2001 Cavallino Classic and the 2002 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, earning significant accolades.
