The Ferrari 248 F1, used in the 2006 Formula One season, was an update of the previous year's F2005. Named for its 2.4-liter V8 engine, it was driven by Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa. The car featured several innovative design elements, including rear view mirrors mounted on the sidepods and a triple plane front wing that was later replaced by a twin plane wing for better airflow. Starting the season with a power output of 730 bhp, modifications increased this to approximately 785 bhp by season's end. The 248 F1 secured 9 race wins and 7 pole positions, contributing to Ferrari's second-place finishes in both the Drivers' and Constructors' World Championships.
