Timeline

The Ferrari 250 Europa GT, produced in 1954-1955, was a pivotal model in Ferrari's history, being their first significant GT road car and the progenitor of a series featuring the GT moniker. It evolved from the 250 MM race car and the earlier 250 Europa, with a limited production run of 35 units. The Europa GT, with a 3.0-litre V12 engine, marked Ferrari's shift towards more practical, everyday vehicles with sufficient luggage space, aiding in their growth and racing ventures. Chassis 0359GT, the second Europa GT made, had unique Vignale bodywork by Giovanni Michelotti, featuring distinctive elements like wrap-around windscreens, a large oval grille, and small rear fins. This bespoke model was initially owned by Princess Lilian of Belgium.
