In 1956, Pinin Farina produced a special series of just four cars on a unique type 513 chassis, tailored for wealthy clients. Although Carrozzeria Boano primarily handled 250 GT Coupé production, these chassis were sent to Pinin Farina for custom coachwork, resulting in designs reminiscent of the muscular 410 Superamerica but with a 200 mm shorter wheelbase. One of these special models debuted alongside the first Boano Coupé prototype at the 1956 Geneva Motor Show. These 250 GT Coupé Speciales by Pinin Farina are renowned for their rarity and classic styling. They featured custom elements like special gauges, adjustable steering wheels, and bolstered seats, with options like twin fuel tanks and unique window cranks.
