The 1957 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, tailored for North America and crafted by Scaglietti, was an open-top version of the 250 GT. It featured an aluminum hood, doors, and trunk lid, with steel used for most of the body. Powered by the same V12 engine as the 250 Tour de France, it delivered up to 240 PS. Fifty Long Wheel Base models were made before being succeeded by the Short Wheel Base version in 1960. Highlighting its value, one sold for $4.9 million at a 2007 auction in Monterey, California.
