The Ferrari 312B, used in Formula One from 1970 to early 1975, was a significant model for Scuderia Ferrari, marking a return to success in the early 1970s. It succeeded the Ferrari 312 and evolved into the 312B2 and 312B3 variants. Under Mauro Forghieri's guidance, Ferrari introduced the new Tipo 001 flat-12 engine, enhancing the car's balance and aerodynamics. In 1970, Jacky Ickx, returning to the team, won three Grands Prix, and Clay Regazzoni triumphed at the Italian Grand Prix. The following year, Mario Andretti joined and won, but the 312 B2 faced handling issues, and Ferrari finished third in the Constructors Championship.
