In 1967, a challenging year for Ferrari in Formula One, the team underwent significant changes and faced tragic events. Franco Lini replaced Dragoni as the team manager, and Chris Amon joined Lorenzo Bandini to drive an improved version of the 1966 V12 car. The season was marred by misfortune: at the Monaco Grand Prix, Bandini suffered a fatal accident, and shortly after, Mike Parkes, re-hired by Ferrari, sustained career-ending injuries at the Belgian Grand Prix. Ferrari did not secure any race wins and finished only 5th in the Constructors' Championship.
