In 1969, following the influx of funds from the deal with Fiat, Enzo Ferrari focused on restructuring and revitalizing his Formula One team. While Ferrari did participate in the 1969 season, it was largely transitional, with Chris Amon driving an older model and Pedro RodrÃguez replacing Jacky Ickx. The season did not yield any race wins for Ferrari, and the team finished 5th in the Constructors' Championship. By the end of the year, Amon had left the team. This period of rebuilding and reorganization paved the way for the introduction of the Ferrari 312B in the 1970 Formula One season, marking the beginning of a new era for the Scuderia Ferrari team.
