Introduced in January 1964, the Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 succeeded the 330 America. Showcased first at the Brussels Show, it featured a refreshed design with a sharper nose and tail, and distinctive quad headlights. The car maintained a 300 PS output and had a 50 mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor, with improved handling thanks to Koni adjustable shock absorbers and a dual-circuit Dunlop braking system. The 1965 Series II version introduced a five-speed gearbox, dual headlights, alloy wheels, and optional air conditioning and power steering. A total of 625 Series I (including 125 'interim' cars) and 455 Series II models were produced before the transition to the 365 GT 2+2 in 1967, overlapping with the production of the 330 GTC and GTS models.
