The Ferrari 330P2, often confused with the 275P2, was a distinct race car with significant differences in engine power and displacement. Unlike previous models, it featured a self-supporting body made of riveted aluminum by Carrozzeria Fantuzzi, drawing design elements from the Ferrari 158 Formula One car. The 330P2 was equipped with a new 4-liter V12 engine producing around 410-420 hp and used a new 5-speed gearbox. It had a larger displacement than the 275P2, with notable improvements like wider rims and tubeless Dunlop racing tires. Its racing debut was in the 1965 World Sportscar Championship, achieving mixed results, including a win at the Nürburgring but facing mechanical failures at Le Mans and other races. The 330P2's last race was in September 1965 at a Can-Am event.
