The Ferrari 340 Mexico, created for the 1952 Carrera Panamericana, was a sports racing car powered by a 4.1 L Lampredi V12 engine. It could produce around 280 PS at 6600 rpm, reaching a top speed of 280 km/h. Only four units were built: three Vignale Berlinettas and one Vignale Spyder, all designed by Giovanni Michelotti. One of the berlinettas, driven by Chinetti and Lucas, secured a third-place finish in the race.
