The Ferrari 360 Spider, launched at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show, is a convertible adaptation of the 360 model, designed with structural modifications to ensure strength and rigidity. These include reinforced sills, a stiffened front floorpan, a redesigned windscreen frame, and additional side reinforcements. Weighing only 60 kg more than the coupe, it features a 3.6 L V8 engine with 400 PS power output, displayed under a glass cover. The engine's design adapts to the convertible's layout with large side air intakes and centrally positioned intake manifolds. The 360 Spider's performance is slightly affected by its weight, with a minor increase in 0-97 km/h acceleration time and a reduced top speed. It also includes a uniquely designed, electrically operated top available in various colors, which stows away compactly.
