Timeline

Introduced in 1953, the Ferrari 375 America succeeded the 342 America, featuring a new 4.5 L Lampredi V12 engine capable of producing up to 300 PS. This power allowed it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under seven seconds and reach a top speed of nearly 160 mph. Distinguished by its odd chassis numbering, in contrast to the even-numbered 340/342 Americas, the 375 America was a symbol of luxury and exclusivity, with only 12 units produced from late 1953 to 1954. This included ten original 375s and two 250 Europas later converted to 375 specifications. Most 375s featured coupe bodies by Pinin Farina, with a few exceptions, including Vignale-bodied coupes and a convertible. The 375 America represented Ferrari's commitment to high performance combined with elegant, exclusive design.
