Ferrari 375 MM

The Ferrari 375 MM, produced from 1953 to 1955, was named for its 4.5 L V12 engine's unitary displacement and its success in the Mille Miglia race. Out of the 26 units made, four were converted from the 340 MM. Initially, the first few models were Vignale Spyders and Pinin Farina Berlinettas, converted from the 340 MM, but most were Pinin Farina-bodied spiders. The 375 MM had two engine variants, one for customers and one for factory teams, both around 4.5 L capacity. The chassis was a slightly longer evolution of the 340 MM, now at 2,600 mm. The 375 MM achieved significant racing success, including wins at the Spa 24 Hours, 12 Hours of Pescara, and 12 Hours of Casablanca. It competed in the 1953 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 1000 km Nürburgring race, contributing to Ferrari's victory in the 1953 World Sportscar Championship. Despite its racing prowess, it was eventually replaced by the larger 375 Plus.
