The Ferrari 410 Superamerica, launched in 1955, was a prestigious addition to Ferrari's America series. This series marked the final development of the 'long-block' Lampredi V12. Each 410 Superamerica had custom bodywork, primarily by Pinin Farina, with a few by Boano and Ghia. A special version, the 410 Superfast Pinin Farina Speciale or "Superfast I", was built on the 410 Superamerica chassis with a 24-plug racing engine and unique design elements like prominent tailfins and a bi-colored body, first showcased at the 1956 Paris Auto Show.
