The Ferrari 412 T2, fielded in the 1995 Formula One World Championship, was a significant model in Ferrari's racing history. Designed by John Barnard and Gustav Brunner, this car marked a design shift in response to FIA's new regulations, featuring a downsized 3.0-liter V12 engine and enhanced driver protection. Although an improvement over its predecessor, the 412 T1, it struggled with reliability issues and couldn't challenge the dominant Renault RS7 V10 engine. The 412 T2 started the season promisingly, with notable performances including Jean Alesi's emotional first win at the Canadian Grand Prix. However, its competitiveness declined as the season progressed, culminating in a third place in the Constructors' Championship. Notably, the 412 T2 was the last Formula 1 car to be powered by a V12 engine and the last to win a race with such an engine, marking the end of an era for Ferrari in Formula One.
