In 2011, Ferrari unveiled the 458 Italia GT, a GTE class racer built by Michelotto for ACO and FIA Championships. Officially named "Ferrari 458 Italia GT," it featured a modified front inlet and a 4.5-litre V8 engine producing 470 PS. The car maintained a robust torque with a lower horsepower and a redline of 6,250 rpm, adapting the double-clutch gearbox to paddle-shifting. The 458 Italia GT achieved notable success, including wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2012, 2014), 12 Hours of Sebring (2012), and Petit Le Mans (2011, 2012). It dominated several racing series from 2011 to 2014, including the FIA World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans Series. The car was active in competitive racing until 2015, after which it was replaced by the Ferrari 488 GTE for the 2016 season.
