In 2011, Ferrari introduced the GT3 version of the 458 Italia, developed by Michelotto. It was lighter and more powerful than the GTE version, producing around 558 PS with a 9,000 rpm redline, closely resembling the road car's performance. The car's aerodynamics differed due to varied aero regulations. The 458 Italia GT3 achieved significant success in motorsport, winning the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps six times, the Gulf 12 Hours four times, the 12 Hours of Sepang twice, the 24 Hours of Dubai twice in the A6-AM class, the Bathurst 12 Hour, and the 24 Hours of Barcelona. It holds numerous records in international championships, including multiple titles in the Blancpain Endurance Series, European Le Mans Series, International GT Open, GT3 Asia, and national championships like the French GT, British GT, and Italian GT. In 2015, it competed in various series including the Blancpain Endurance Series, European Le Mans Series, and the Pirelli World Challenge, among others.
