In 2017, the 488 GT3, run by Maranello Motorsport, won the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, marking Ferrari's second victory at this event. An updated version, the 488 GT3 EVO 2020, was announced in 2020, featuring enhancements in aerodynamics, vehicle control, ergonomics, and a lighter Sabelt seat, with an engine output of around 600 PS and 700 N⋅m. The 488 GT3 Evo secured another significant victory in 2021, winning the 24 Hours of Spa in the PRO Class category with the Iron Lynx Motorsports team.
