Timeline

The Ferrari BB 512i, introduced in 1981, was the final model in the BB series. It featured the Tipo F110 A engine with Bosch K-Jetronic CIS fuel injection, resulting in cleaner emissions and improved performance-drivability balance. This model, however, was the least powerful in the series with 340 bhp. Distinctive external features included small white running lights, a front grill exposing the driving lamps, and a revised rear valence. It used Michelin TRX metric-sized tires and wheels, differing from earlier models. Standard features included air conditioning, power windows, and a stereo, with an optional Ermenegildo Zegna wool cloth interior. Priced at £39,991 in the UK in 1981, a total of 1,007 BB 512i units were produced until 1984.
