On April 8, 2010, Ferrari unveiled the 599 GTO, a road-legal iteration of the 599XX track car and, at the time, their fastest road car. It could lap the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 24 seconds, surpassing the Ferrari Enzo. The 599 GTO's engine delivered 670 PS (661 hp) and 620 Nm of torque, incorporating the 599XX's gearbox shift program and exhaust system. The car accelerates from 0–100 km/h in under 3.3 seconds, with a top speed over 335 km/h. Weighing 1,605 kg, it was nearly 100 kg lighter than the standard 599 GTB. Production was limited to 599 units, with around 125 for the U.S. market. The 599 GTO is one of only three Ferrari models to bear the GTO designation, following the 1962 250 GTO and the 1984 288 GTO, but it wasn't designed for racing homologation.
