Unveiled in September 2019, the Ferrari 812 GTS is the convertible version of the 812 Superfast and is Ferrari's first front-engine V12 series production convertible in 50 years, following the limited edition convertible variants of the 550, 575, and 599. It features large rear buttresses that house the folding hardtop, which operates in 14 seconds and functions at speeds up to 45 km/h. Weighing 75 kg more than the Superfast due to chassis reinforcements, the GTS matches its performance. It retains the same engine as the Superfast but has a modified transmission with shorter gear ratios for enhanced throttle response. New environmental features include a high-pressure injection system, a gasoline particulate filter, and a stop-start system. The car also shares the Superfast's Manettino dial, side-slip angle control, variable steering weight, and has aerodynamic refinements to counteract turbulence from the open roof.
