The F40 Competizione, a more powerful variant of the F40 LM, was developed in response to consumer demand and the specific request of a French importer for Le Mans entry. Ferrari produced just ten units, initially naming the first two as F40 LMs and the rest as F40 Competiziones, to avoid the restrictive 'LM' designation. Powered by an upgraded twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the F40 Competizione boasts 691 hp and a top speed of about 228 mph. One notable chassis, initially a road car, was extensively modified by Cavallino Tuning and G-Tex to meet racing standards, including engine enhancements, new shock absorbers, brakes, bodywork, and a unique grey and blue interior.
