The LaFerrari Aperta, unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, is the open-top version of LaFerrari. Initially, 200 units were sold, with an additional nine allocated for Ferrari's 70th Anniversary events, and one more later auctioned. It features a removable carbon-fiber hardtop and a canvas soft top. Design modifications for the Aperta include more efficient control electronics for the powertrain, re-angled radiators for improved airflow, a longer front air dam for increased downforce, L-shaped flaps on the windscreen pillars to reduce cabin compression, and altered door opening angles with new wheel arches. Each door has a carbon-fiber insert to facilitate its rotation. The Aperta maintains the tradition of using the "Aperta" label for Ferrari's open-top models. All 200 units were pre-sold to select customers via invitation.
