The Ferrari SF1000, internally known as Project 671, was a Formula One racing car designed by Scuderia Ferrari for the 2020 Formula One World Championship. Named to commemorate Ferrari's 1000th Grand Prix, its debut was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, eventually starting at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix. An evolution of its predecessor, the SF90, the SF1000 featured a lowered center of gravity and improved aerodynamics but faced challenges with its power unit, leading to a significant drop in speed from the previous season. Despite these challenges, drivers Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc managed some notable performances, including a podium finish at the British Grand Prix. However, the season was marked by underperformance, with Ferrari finishing sixth in the constructors' championship, their worst result since 1980.
